What is a Cloud 9 Chihuahua??
We focus on the temperament and health of our dogs above all else. Ensuring that every puppy who leaves our home has a solid foundation of good genetics behind them is important to us. Temperament is surely passed on from generation to generation, and by working with bloodlines we are familiar with for many years, we are able to see the dogs for generations behind our puppies as they truly are, in many situations of life. Only adult dogs with very balanced, well rounded temperaments and good trainability are selected to be breeding dogs in our home.
To ensure we are doing our part to only continue this breed through only dogs with exemplary health, in addition to regular health checks from a licensed reproductive specialist veterinarian we also complete EMBARK DNA/Health profiles on all of our dogs, as well as OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) recommended testing for Cardiac (heart), Patellas (knees), and Eyes.
Our dogs live inside our home, always. We believe in an open concept program, and each of our dogs is an individual member of our family. They sleep in bed with us, snuggle with our children, eat table scraps on occasion (haha), go for rides around town, and are truly loved as individuals from day 1. This allows us to know who each one of our dogs is on a deep and personal level.
Our family also has a pet Doberman Pinscher, named Buckwheat. All of our chihuahuas are exposed to, familiar with, and in most cases very good friends with large dogs because of this. We work hard to be sure each puppy who leaves us experiences a positive introduction to as many circumstances as possible. We loosely follow the Puppy Culture program when raising our litters of puppies, which focuses on early neurological stimulation and socialization.

Each puppy leaves our home confident, outgoing, and prepared for their new lives with their families.
Parent dogs have been carefully selected and paired for breeding in regards to health, giving you a future of many happy and healthy years with your new puppy.
The well being of each dog in our home is our #1 priority, always!
You can feel comfortable knowing our puppy came from a loving, caring home environment where they have been living in the center of everyday life before making their way to you.
Your breeder will be dedicated to you, and your puppy long after pick-up day. I pride myself on customer relationships, and believe that a big part of a positive experience welcoming home a new puppy comes from support in the days, weeks, and even years after coming home!

Roxy was born and raised here in our home! She is a perfect balance of her parents temperaments, she is as sweet as she could be and loves everyone she meets. She has loved our children deeply from the beginning, and she can often be found sprawled out where the sun beams through the windows.

Silo comes from many generations of a combination of our lines, as well as our good friends at Steadfast Chihuahuas! We have known dogs in her lineage for nearly 10 years, and Silo is a great example of those who came before her. She is fiercely loyal to her family, quirky, and loves everyone she meets!

Kira is my personal heart dog. She came into my life, forced her way into my heart, and now we are inseparable. She is a goofy, charismatic little dog with a huge personality and a huge love for life and adventure. She loves puppies, but her favorite people are kids. Kira is always ready to go and try new things!

A true character! Brody is the life of the party. He loves to play, and loves to roll over for belly rubs! He is easy going, loves people, and tolerates anything you ask of him! Brody also has a very dense and beautiful long coat.

Belle is more shy, but once she warms up to you she is so sweet and silly. The little things Belle does keeps our household laughing! She has a strong preference to puppies vs. adult dogs, and she can run circles around them for hours!

Honey is a gentle, sweet dog with a very soft and affectionate personality. She loves to snuggle up into the tightest spot she can find and she loves to be warm! Honey is especially bonded with our daughter and her favorite place to sleep is the top of our pillows.
